Anonymous asked: what god do you believe in?
That’s kind of a difficult question to answer. I believe in a very real God that is in everything, is everywhere, and that can’t really be summed up or given a precise definition. I don’t think God is a person sitting in a throne in someplace very distant from here. That’s just an image that has been given to him so we can try and understand, visualize, and make sense of something that is very strange, mysterious, and for the most part incomprehensible, but very real. I believe in pretty much all the teachings of Jesus, so you could say I am kind of a Christian, but I don’t like the term very much because there are many, many Christians who aren’t much like Jesus. I think a lot of his teachings had different meanings when he taught them than what is widely understood today, given our cultural and communication differences that has had 2000 years and a trip across the globe to vary. So that’s another reason why it’s kind of hard for me to call myself a Christian sometimes too. This is a subject that really excites me, and I could elaborate on it for days, but I feel like that’s about the best I can do to somewhat compress my thoughts and beliefs on God into one paragraph! This probably wasn’t quite the answer you were looking for, but I hope you will take it anyhow!
