Step Out into the Wild
Just got back from my adventure a few days ago! I had an amazing time and so many great memories were made. Life is beautiful, and it’s meant to be explored and admired. I would encourage anyone and everyone to get out a little bit and explore life again. Have an adventure, however large or small it may be. Our child-like wonder is one of the most important things that we’ve lost....

A Journey
So last Monday I started a new adventure! I flew into Sedona, AZ and have been here with my sister for the week, sharing with her a few of the things I have learned about life, teaching where and how to find happiness once again. She leaves tomorrow morning and I’ll be staying here by myself for a few more days until Wednesday. I plan on taking all of my stuff, hiking, and camping out in the...

Soon we’re going to wake and remember that this life was all just a dream. And you, the dreamer, will know what’s real once again. We’ve been asleep for quite some time now, convinced by this persistent reality. But shortly here we’ll begin a new dream, and you’ll know how to make it right, starting new again as the lucid dreamer. Be excited, because these are...

Truth
Truth exists. I decided to dedicate my life to finding it a year and half ago, half expecting to die without ever figuring it all out. But I was okay with that, because something inside of me said there is something far greater to life than the way we currently see it, and I would be happier dying still searching for what’s real, than to die in a world that inadvertently claims that happiness does...

Kansas City
I’ve been living in Kansas City for the last two months and it’s been great so far! I’ve learned so much already since being here. My trip to Central America was amazing too. I moved between Belize and Guatemala for two months working in hostels most the time in both countries. I met so many great people and made a lot of great memories on that trip. Not to mention I learned a lot of lessons...

Life is Great; Traveling is Great
I just can’t seem to make myself write about my adventures. I had an interesting experience when a great friend I made in Belize left to go home. I felt very emotional about it because of all the great times we had, and I realized that my adventure and my travels are for me and the people I encounter to share. They’re not about the amount of notes I receive for an experience I...

I Made It To Belize
And it’s been an adventure already! Too many things have happened to even write them all out, but to say the least, Cancun was amazing! I met so many great people in my hostel from all around the world. So many memories have been made already. I’m in Belize City right now staying in a hostel for the night, and I met two French travelers and an Australian traveler on the bus ride down...

Last Day in the United States
I’m finally leaving for Belize tomorrow morning at 6:15am. I’m excited and ready for this adventure to begin! Belize will just be the beginning. I have all my gear sorted and packed into my 65L backpack. Pretty much everything I own will fit into that bag. So the plan is to fly out from Boise, Idaho at 6:15am and land in Cancun, Mexico at 9pm. I’ll stay in a hostel that night in...

Personal Life
People don’t seem to have much of a personal life anymore. Every moment has to be shared, either with another person over text or with a post to their social media world about what they are doing at each moment. Very few seem to be able to handle the idea of alone time anymore. That, or one-on-one quality time with a friend. When each thought or encounter is texted to or posted about,...

Moving
Moving out of my apartment now. It’s been a great year here, living right downtown in this wonderful apartment. It has served me very well. I’m getting rid of just about everything that’s mine in here. Everything I own can fit into about two boxes, and most of it is stuff that I’m keeping just to give to my family. When I leave for Belize, everything I own will be able to...

I went through my closet today and threw away a ton of old stuff that I had sitting in there as keep-sakes. I have to be out of my apartment in 5 days and in a plane to Belize in a month, so I’ve been doing some cleaning/sorting/simplifying. It was very bitter-sweet actually, going through and throwing away a lot of old things that I had many great memories associated with. There were quite...

Let the Adventure Begin
It’s official: July 17 I’m flying into Cancun, Mexico. I’ll take a bus down to Belize on the 18th, and then I’ll make my way down to the San Ignacio, Belize region where I’ll be living and volunteering at the Barton Creek Outpost in the middle of the Belize jungle for an indefinite amount of time! And from there, who knows. It’s all come together so well.

A Loss of Innocence
It’s a very bitter-sweet thing. It catches me sometimes when I see pictures of my family and I when I was younger. Life was so different back then. I was so innocent; unaware of the vastness of the world, and life in general. I can only image the things I was concerned with. The world was so new to me that I believed everything that I was told. Now I am able to think for my own, develop my...

Simplicity really is a beautiful thing.
Why are people so eager to acquire so much stuff all the time? Way too much of people’s life worth is placed on material things. Things that if broken, stolen, or harmed in any way create an actual emotional pain in its “owner”. And things will get harmed or stollen. The things that are real and that matter are the things that are formless, like friendships, spirituality, and...
